Mike Redmayne PhD, Professor of Law, LSE
18 June 1967 - 10 June 2015

Mike was a much-loved teacher and husband to Louise. As Professor of Law at the London School of Economics (LSE), Mike published many highly-regarded books and articles. In his spare time he was an accomplished rock climber and cyclist and also a fantastic amateur chef who loved to cook for family and friends. 

Although he was a confident man, he was also reserved, shy even, and could find social events awkward. He would understand that coming to one of our evenings and mixing with new people can be intimidating and difficult – whether you’ve been invited for free or have bought a ticket – and that’s why we strive to be as friendly, welcoming and inclusive as possible. A lot of our amazing volunteers knew Mike personally, but now many who have joined the team never met Mike and yet they still love Mike’s Table and what we offer. 

Mike and Louise shared many happy times together at the table in their home and it is her hope that you too enjoy great food and company at Mike’s Table.
